Born in 1964, Schwier began photographing while still at school. After getting his degree in architecture he returned to the lecture halls in 1993 to study photography. Nowadays, in addition to commercial assignments and architectural photography, Schwier works on a number of personal projects.

Marcus Schwier – The Americans

Marcus Schwier

Known for his architectural photography, Marcus Schwier proves in his series, The Americans, that he is also able to integrate people into his consciously composed images. The title is a homage to Robert Frank, who is considered the founder of street photography, and whose own series titled The Americans painted an accurate picture of the USA in the fifties.
